BETTCHEM Conducts Basic Fire Safety Drills, Using “Practicality” as the Guiding Principle to Strengthen the Safety Defense Line.

“Lift, pull, grip, and press—everyone, pay attention: When you press the handle, maintain the correct angle and aim directly at the base of the flame, keeping the spray going continuously!” On June 25, in the safety training room at Baite Chemical’s plant, a “small but highly effective” special fire safety drill was underway. From frontline operators to heads of the safety management department, everyone was fully engaged and focused. From theoretical instruction to hands-on practical assessments, every step demonstrated the company’s deep commitment to the principle that “there are no small matters when it comes to safety.”

During the drill, the company’s safety officer, drawing on common hazards found in chemical enterprises, explained the classification of fire extinguishers, their appropriate application scenarios, and the four-step operational procedure—“lift, pull, aim, squeeze”—through real-life case studies. Afterwards, employees practiced the procedures one by one, with the safety officer providing on-site guidance and correcting any operational details. Participating employees commented: “In the past, we thought using a fire extinguisher was as simple as ‘just pressing the handle.’ Now we realize that choosing the right type and mastering the proper techniques are crucial.”

This fire safety drill integrates the “safety first” philosophy into daily operations in a practical manner, providing solid safeguards for the company’s safe production.
